You will automatically be returned to the artist page, where your special will be unlocked and ready to download and/or stream. 

Download options (HD or SD) will unlock on the left side of the screen. The file you select will save to your default downloads folder on your device. 

Note: Streaming will occur on the same page in your browser.
Apple iOS users will be able to stream specials, but not download them directly to their device. To make a special available offline, please download to your computer and sync to your device through iTunes.

If you’re a new user, you will receive an email with your account login information (your e-mail address and a password), which will allow you to access all of your purchases anytime you like.

I paid using PayPal E-Check but can’t access my special.

If you paid using PayPal E-Checks, it could take a few business days before you can access your special, as PayPal must first verify your payment. Once your E-Check is cleared, you’ll receive your CC: Direct confirmation email and be able to access your specials. Any issues with this process must be handled through PayPal.

I’m not sure this will work on my device. What should I do?

First, check the list of devices above. Next, refer to your device manufacturer’s recommendations for playing mp4 videos. These links may be helpful to you:

What exactly do I get?

When you purchase a Comedy Central stand-up special from this site you get it uncut, uncensored and commercial-free, plus bonus features when available.

Do I have to create a log-in or register for this site?

In order to purchase content, you will have to provide us with your email address (which we will use only in compliance with our privacy policy). Once you have bought your first special, we will send you an email that contains a password to access your content.

How can I pay for the content?

You can pay for your content via your Paypal or Amazon account. If you don’t have an Amazon or PayPal account, you will need to create an account with one of these providers in order to purchase content. When you set up your account with either Paypal or Amazon, and when you use that account to purchase the content, you are subject to the relevant company's terms of use and privacy policy.

How many times can I play this special?

As the owner, you can stream and download each special as many times as you like.

What does “DRM-free” mean?

That means there is no Digital Rights Management system in place to inhibit you from downloading and streaming the special on multiple devices.

What if I don't live in the U.S.?

Wherever there is Internet, you can stream and download your special.

Why can't I download my purchase directly on my phone or tablet?

Most devices stream video, but many of them cannot save downloads. We encourage you to download your newly purchased special to your Mac/PC first and then sync or transfer the file to your devices.

I have an Android device. Can I stream video directly?

Yes, but you need the free Hook video player app from Ooyala. The first time you try to play any video from the site on an Android device, you will be prompted to “Download Hook” and presented with three options:
1. Go to Google Play store to download and install
2. “I already have it” which will allow the Hook app to load
3. “Remind me later” which will close out without playing the video

Once you have downloaded the app or indicate that you already have it, you don’t need to do this again.

NOTE: If you still receive the prompt after Hook is installed, it may be because cookies are disabled in your browser, or that your cookies were purged.

Do I need Flash to watch the special?

Not necessarily. If you are streaming it via an HTML5 compatible web browser, then no. If you are streaming through a web browser that is not HTML5 compatible, then yes.

Where can I find my download?

Go to your preferred download folder, which is specific to your preferences and/or browser settings.

PRO TIP: Sometimes it helps to search your system by comedian name.

Can I purchase a special as a gift?

Yes! As some guy said once, “Giving is better than receiving.” Click the gift shaped button on the purchasing page and follow the prompts.

I gifted a special to my friend but they never received it.

The confirmation email may have been sent accidentally to the recipient’s spam folder. If that’s not the case, and your friend still cannot locate the confirmation email with promo code, please contact ccdirecthelp@comedycentral.com

I don’t want to download my purchase right now. How long is it available?

As long as this site continues to exist. Just log back in from any device later and download it.

I got logged out suddenly. What happened?

No two devices can be logged into your account at one time.

I forgot my password. Can I get a new one?

Of course. First, click "RETURNING USER" in the top right corner of this page. Once the overlay appears, enter your email and click "FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD?” You will receive an email with instructions for creating a new password.

I didn't get a confirmation email.

First, make sure that you are checking the correct email account. Next, check your spam folder just in case. If you still cannot locate the confirmation email, contact ccdirecthelp@comedycentral.com
